| Open Gym Times at the HS EACH week the high school staff, along with the thunder staff, will have a "mini clinic" format in order to work on something specific for 10/12/14's. If Non-thunder players come in, they go with the thunder age group they fit in. FIRST hour is H.S. Players only; last two hours are thunder/youth. | Gateway Junior High – Pitching We’ve been given the Gateway gym from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. These will be split into two 45 minute sessions: (7:30-8:15 and 8:15-9:00) WEDNESDAYS Jan 25 Feb 1 Feb 8 Feb 15 Feb 22 Feb 29 Anyone interested in taking lessons from April, needs to contact her ASAP, otherwise it is pitch-on-your-own. Each pitcher is responsible for bringing their catcher. Five (5), or six (6) if necessary, pitchers can be scheduled for each session. If you can not make the practice, let us know in advance. |

| The out of town tournament this year for the Thunder has been set. We will be in Dayton, Ohio at the Gem City Showdown. The weekend dates are July 13, 14 & 15. All ages will play in at least 6 games. All teams will be at the Fairfield Inn - North Dayton, More information soon. |
| 2012 Maumee Thunder Raffle Winners will start being announced in 6 days! Unlike years in the past, this year's fund raiser will be a straight raffle. This is our biggest fund raiser. Upon the delivery of the tickets, they will be distributed to you coaches. We are asking all in the Maumee Thunder community to do as much as you can in order to keep cost for the players' fees as low as possible. Cost per ticket $10 As of 26Jan, Tickets Sold = 241 Returned Unsold = 123 Yet to be Returned = 636 Pay out $100, if your raffle ticket # exactly matches, on any given day, the evening Ohio Lottery Pick 3 # during the month of February 2012. Winning ticket MUST be in the director's possession the day before the winning number is picked. (In other words, you have 29 chances to win based on 1 ticket, and possibly more than once) For the players, every ticket in excess of 10 tickets sold, you'll receive a $5 credit toward your fees. I still have extra tickets if someone needs them. Also, ask your fellow players if they have extra that you can sell. |
| McDonald's Peeler Cards are in. This sale will continue only through the Month of January 2012. The cost of each card sold is $10.00. (McDonald's gets $4.50, Supplier gets $1.00 and the player selling the ticket receives $4.50 off her fees) Each card contains 24 items where the purchaser can "buy one-get one free" on many items off McDonald's menu. By the end of the month, player must turn in the money collected plus any unsold cards. I still have about 65 cards in my possession that can be sold. |
